Personality: Adventurous, independent, realistic, friendly, dependable, silly.
Professional Experience: Maggie earned her B.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from the University of Mary Washington. She began her career in Art History and Museums in Washington, DC, before transitioning into education at Wesley Theological Seminary, where she ultimately became the Director of Human Resources after working as the Executive Assistant to the Dean, and the Executive Assistant to the President.
After years spent living in Washington, DC, Maggie initially planned to leave the area and train as a postpartum doula. However, due to the pandemic, she chose to continue her path in Human Resources. She relocated to Richmond, VA, and soon after joined Medworks.
In 2024, Maggie earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). She also holds certifications from SkillPath in Accelerated HR Management, Mental Health, and a Certificate in HR Ethics from HRCI. She is currently pursuing a credential in Employment Law.
Passions: Maggie enjoys gardening, practicing herbalism as a community-trained herbalist, making beaded jewelry, and spending time with her cats. She is passionate about food justice, teaching urban youth to garden and grow their own food, mental health advocacy, and supporting vulnerable or at-risk youth, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+.
