Through partnerships with leading manufacturers including Richard Wolf Medical Instruments, Convergent Laser Technologies, Bard Endourology, and Kyra Medical, we provide both capital equipment and procedure-based service models designed to meet the operational needs of today’s surgical facilities.

Our Story
Founded in 2005 by Darrell and Donna Shires, Medworks began its story as an independent representative for Richard Wolf Medical Instruments in Virginia. As a growing company, Medworks quickly advanced into representing multiple manufacturers serving urology and gynecology specialties.
In 2013, Medworks launched its laser rental services beginning with ProTouch prostate enucleation, then expanding into numerous other laser technologies and procedures. This expansion of offerings was foundational in creating our mission concepts of “Making the Room Better” and “Offering Full Urology Procedure Support.”
Medworks has grown to become a diverse, values-based company that lives by its core values of Growth, Readiness, Integrity, and Team, with “GRIT” being its heart and soul. Our team members believe in doing everything possible to create a positive surgical experience for our surgeons, healthcare professionals, and their patients.
Today, Medworks provides coverage in Maryland, DC, Virginia, North Carolina as well as Washington, northern Idaho, Montana, and Alaska.
