Personality: Calm, logical, good listener, consistent

Professional Experience: John's career encompasses 34 years of healthcare finance experience with 14 of those years as a Chief Financial Officer in hospitals and ambulatory surgery center settings. Having earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from William & Mary, John's earlier career roles included healthcare auditing and accounting before moving into hospital finance. In recent years, he worked as CFO of a non-profit healthcare organization that provided community services through surgery centers, an imaging center, and charitable support through its foundation.   

Passions: John enjoys woodworking and home improvement projects, but his passion is focused on family. Fishing and occasionally attempting golf, provide him with outlets for relaxation. He contributes to the community through numerous channels including assistance in the creation of the first free health clinic in Northern Neck of Virginia, participation on multiple non-profit boards as support to charitable organizations, supporter of the free health clinic in the greater Richmond area, as well as other services provided by Goochland Cares. He is an active long-term deacon of Irvington Baptist Church.
