Professional Experience: Desiree is a Certified Surgical Technologist with extensive operating room experience and a strong clinical foundation in surgical technology. She holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Surgical Technology from Miller-Motte College in Cary, North Carolina, and maintains national certification through the NBSTSA, along with BLS certification.

Her clinical experience spans a variety of surgical environments, including years of first assist experience using the da Vinci robotic surgical system, where she has supported advanced surgical procedures with precision, preparedness, and professionalism. Desiree is committed to maintaining high standards of patient care while continually refining her technical skills in both traditional and robotic-assisted surgeries.

Desiree was drawn to Medworks for its reputation for innovation, commitment to excellence in surgical support, and mission of improving patient outcomes. She values working in a collaborative environment that embraces advanced technology and high-quality care.

Passions: Outside of work, Desiree enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, reading, and being outdoors—activities that help her recharge and stay grounded. She is actively involved in supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association through fundraising efforts, helping “be their muscle” while supporting individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases and bringing her community together around a shared purpose.
